Maguire in particular is very popular among fans. The actor appeared as Peter Parker in three Spider-Man films between 2002 and 2007. There have been rumors flying around lately a new comeback from Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man given, initiated, among other things, by the director. Thomas Haden Church. A Spider-Man film by Sam Raimi, the director at the time, suddenly seemed to be within reach for many fans. How does Raimi actually see the topic himself?
Is filmmaker Raimi making Spider-Man 4?
At the beginning of April, the filmmaker spoke to CBR about the rumors. “Well, I don't know anything about that yet“said Raimi.”I've read about it, but I'm not working on anything yet. I mean, Marvel and Columbia are with theirs [Spider-Man-Filmen] so successful […]I don't know whether they'll come to me and say 'Well guys, we can tell the story too!'.“
So it doesn't necessarily seem like Marvel is begging for Raimi to make a comeback. It's no secret that he would like to make another film in the comic universe. Just recently he had about it spoken in an interview. Whether Spider-Man 4 really has a future is anyone's guess.
