After heavy rainfall, there were landslides in El Salvador on Thursday in which at least seven people lost their lives. Two adults and three children are among the fatalities. They died when a landslide covered their home in Huizucar County. The age of the other two victims is unknown.

“Where the most rain has fallen are the areas that are quite vulnerable to landslides during rainfall,” said Fernando Lopez, Minister for Environment and Natural Resources. – This year’s rainfall is above average when it comes to their sum. So far, 1751 liters of rain have fallen per square meter, so we can say that we are far above the average – he added.
