What is the Wings for Life World Run?

The Wings for Life World Run is the largest fundraising run in the world. It has been taking place annually since 2014 and raises money for spinal cord research in order to be able to cure paraplegia in the future. The motto is: Running for those who can't.

Instead, 30 minutes after the starting signal, a vehicle sets off and catches up with the runners one by one. Anyone overtaken by the vehicle is out. So a mobile finish line. The Minecraft World Run in April 2024

The Minecraft streamer Rafael “Veni” Eisler is so enthusiastic about the idea of ​​the Wings for Life World Run that he would like to organize a similar event himself. After he has already toyed with the idea several times, the digital fundraising run in 2024 is now becoming a reality.

The procedure is similar to the original event. All participants start at the same time in the block world and run south. The vehicle is replaced by a moving world border that slowly catches up with the participants.
