Until now, iRacing had primarily served as a platform for online multiplayer races. Although there is an AI that you can race against, there are no real modes for this. A career mode is now being planned for the title. Tony Gardner, the President of iRacing, recently spoke about this in an interview.

When is career mode coming?
According to Gardner, a lot of work has been put into the AI itself, but a framework around offline racing is still missing. “We have fantastic cars, fantastic tracks, really good AI, but we haven't built anything around it“, he said to Insider-Gaming.
“I would like to publish it next year“Gardner said of Career Mode shortly afterwards.”I think it will come little by little. You know, there are early building blocks that will be released this year.“
The president doesn't necessarily want to make big promises. He explicitly emphasizes that despite the desired period, he cannot guarantee that we will see the mode in 2025 due to the pitfalls of software development. Until now, the AI had primarily given players the opportunity to train for online racing.
