Survey hints at possible DLCs or expansions

Shortly after the release of the role-playing game, Capcom released a survey about “Dragon's Dogma 2”. As part of the survey, the publisher also asks how much the community would pay for possible DLCs or add-ons.

Last week, publisher Capcom released the action role-playing game “Dragon's Dogma 2”. It quickly became clear that the fantasy adventure didn't just attract attention with its playful implementation.

Instead, the community mainly criticized the various microtransactions. A few days after the release of “Dragon's Dogma 2” Capcom announced a survey ready for action RPG. The survey is about, among other things, which platforms we own “Dragon's Dogma 2” and how we became aware of the role-playing game.

Additionally, the survey suggests that Capcom could be planning DLC or a major expansion. Here the players are asked how much they would spend on a DLC or a possible add-on. The range ranges from 10 to 50 euros.

The original Dragon's Dogma also received an add-on

An expansion with a look at the history of the series would at least not come as a surprise. Finally, Capcom provided the first “Dragon's Dogma” with the add-on called “Dark Arisen” in 2013. This brought with it a new location, the island of Finstergram.

In addition to new enemies and equipment, particularly powerful bosses were waiting for the players on Finstergram. The playing time of “Dark Arisen” was just under 15 hours. The expansion was included in the PS4 and Xbox One versions of “Dragon’s Dogma”.

A few days ago, Capcom announced that it was working on several updates. For example, one of the upcoming updates will enable the community to start a new game even if a save game already exists. The developers are also planning additional customization options.

This includes the option of turning ray tracing on or off or setting the frame rate in the options to either “variable” or “maximum 30 FPS”. Various bug fixes round off the updates.

It remains to be seen whether and in what form the updates will provide relief in the area of not always convincing performance. Capcom's new role-playing game didn't always run smoothly on both the PC and the consoles when it was released. This was especially true for the frame rate, which is sometimes subject to noticeable fluctuations in hectic moments.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
