While many players are waiting for big system sellers, “Alien: Rogue Incursion” is heading towards the PlayStation VR2 virtual reality headset and other systems. The horror title was presented with a sparse trailer.
PlayStation VR2 might get another selling point. While “Resident Evil 7” was able to prove with the previous headset that horror games benefit significantly from the extended immersion, and “Resident Evil Village” and the remake of “Resident Evil 4” are compatible with the PS5 VR headset, a game based on another well-known horror brand is in the starting blocks.

The developer Survios had already confirmed the production of a new horror game based on the “Alien” franchise in 2022. The title was officially announced at the weekend and given a name. Accordingly, owners of PlayStation VR2 and other current virtual reality headsets should keep an eye on “Alien: Rogue Incursion” in the future.
Survios promises a unique story with terrifying Xenomorphs
“Alien: Rogue Incursion” was presented with a trailer that reveals the name of the horror title, but neither shows gameplay nor gives an impression of what players can expect in terms of the story.
However, Survios assures that “Alien: Rogue Incursion” will tell a new, original story. At the same time, the developer wants to bring “kinetic action and heart-pounding exploration” to the game, as well as “fearsome, imaginative Xenomorphs that will really give you goosebumps.”
“Our team at Survios is a huge Alien fan and has long developed Alien: Rogue Incursion to bring together the most technologically advanced, immersive and immersive VR experiences with the best franchises,” said TQ Jefferson, Chief Product Officer of Survios. The story includes all of the favorite elements from 45 years of Alien.

When will the launch take place? “Alien: Rogue Incursion” will be released in the holiday season 2024 for PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 3 and SteamVR released.
