What to say about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, except that Rocksteady's title was a huge cold shower for fans? Released last February, the new service game in the DC universe mainly disappointed players. Despite pleasant albeit redundant gameplay, the repetitiveness of the objectives, the micro-transactions and the disappointing storyline ultimately got the better of the interest of the community, which almost completely abandoned the title. Not long ago, Suicide Squad even plunged on Steam while server traffic was at its lowest.

A comparison that says a lot

As reported recently by Windows Central, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League hits rock bottom as the game has just recorded 118 simultaneous players on Steam, its lowest number of simultaneous connections since its launch on the Valve platform. A very sad record, even heavier to brandish when we know that Marvel's Avengersanother service game dedicated to superheroes, has more active players as Square Enix announced the end of its follow-up.

From one day to the next, the SteamDB figures vary and show that Suicide Squad sometimes manages to overtake Marvel's Avengers. That being said, the comparison between these two games is not flattering for the Rocksteady title which sank at an astonishing speed. While the studio and Warner were betting heavily on the software, it is now difficult to see what the future holds for it, even if it is unlikely that it will manage to reverse the current trend.
