Surprise, Hades 2 is available now in early access on PC! | Xbox

Announced with great fanfare in December 2022 during the Game Awards, Hades II was released yesterday as a surprise directly following the playtest, to the greatest pleasure of players.

Hades 2 is available on PC!

The latest news was that the game was scheduled for early 2024, and Supergiant Games has therefore chosen the date of May 6 for the launch of early access for its new baby.

Currently only available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, this early access already includes more environments, enemies and dubbed characters than the original game:

We hope you enjoy experiencing everything Hades II Early Access has to offer! It already features more environments, enemies, and fully voiced characters than the full version of the original game, and we have even more in the works. An in-game development roadmap provides additional details on our update plans.

As with the first opus, the studio wants to shape this sequel thanks to player feedback and is already promising a big update to the game for the end of the year:

We're planning our first major update for the end of the year! While we are closely monitoring feedback and reports, this major update will take a few months after our initial launch. Additionally, we plan to remain in Early Access until at least the end of 2024 in order to develop the rest of the content we have planned.

Supergiant Game specifies that it is currently too early to say when version 1.0 of the game will be launched. Remember that the title has not yet been announced for Xbox Series X|S and PS5, and we therefore hope that a console version will be made official as development progresses.

After an initial release on Nintendo Switch and PC, the first opus finally ended up arriving on Xbox and PlayStation, and even on iOS, Android and Netflix. We can therefore hope that Hades 2 will be available later on other platforms. Let's also remember that Hades was integrated into Xbox Game Pass directly on the day of its release on Xbox.
