Two-month content update for Destiny 2: Into the Light begins today

Today, Bungie revealed an update on the development of Final Form during the developer's gameplay preview of Final Form. There were also hints about the future of Destiny 2. On June 4th, you'll finally step into the Traveler's Paleheart in pursuit of the Witness, armed with new powers to face your ultimate enemy. The developer's gameplay preview also showed off the Prism subclass. This class combines the powers of light and darkness. We also introduced Destiny 2's first exotic class item and a new Witness enemy faction: Dread.

In addition to the three new Light supers previously announced, the Prism subclass allows Guardians to wield both light and dark powers for the first time. This subclass allows you to combine multiple attribute types, giving you new options to enhance and customize each playstyle. Additionally, each class will have its own unique grenade that combines attributes from multiple subclasses: Warlocks will have Stasis/Void, Titans will have Strand/Arc, and Hunters will have Solar/Stasis.

Hunter's Cloak, Titan's Crest, and Warlock's Bond will all have Exotic-level perks for the first time, allowing players to equip Exotic class items. These perks have two elements from existing Exotic class items (including some from other classes) and are randomized, allowing for more gameplay customization.

In the “final form”, the witnesses will use all their strength. Introducing the Dread, a powerful group of combatants who demonstrate new abilities in battle. In addition to the Tormentors introduced in End of Light and the previously revealed Conquerors, Witness brings new units such as Grimm, Husk, Attendant, and Weaver.

  • Grimm: A highly mobile flying enemy that suppresses and slows the skills of Guardians that approach it.
  • Husk: A bruiser that engages in acrobatic melee combat, and if you don't hit a weak point with the finishing blow, it will deploy a Geist.
  • Attendant and Weaver: Armed with the powers of Stasis and Strand, respectively, these two units can turn the tide of battle in an instant. To accommodate this, Guardians will need to be mindful of their position on the battlefield.

Destiny 2: Into the Light is available to all players at no additional cost. This new two-month content update features a new wave defense activity, “Onslaught,” fan-favorite iconic weapons in standard and limited editions, a new Warrior Hall of Fame social space, and an exotic mission, “Whispers.” We have great new content such as the reprint of “Zero Hour'', a new raid boss challenge “Pantheon'', and new rewards.
