This is how the game sales figures in Germany come about

Game manufacturers usually only announce global sales figures for their games – rarely or not at all for individual markets and countries. The data from the Games Sales Data (GSD) industry panel, which the Game industry association relies on, gives at least a feeling for the scale in Germany.

This in turn results in the so-called 'Sales Awards' in gold, for which at least 100,000 games must be sold in the first twelve months. Additional levels: 200,000 (Platinum), 400,000 (Double Platinum) and 600,000 (Multi-Platinum).

Important: Not all studios and publishers report their sales figures – so some titles inevitably don't appear in the list.
