However, the “Max Payne” remakes are not the only projects the Finns are currently working on. “Condor” should also start now. This is a live service title that was released in the world of 2019 “Control” should play.

Multiplayer game has reached next development phase

As Remedy recently announced, “Condor” has now entered full production. “It means it has reached the final stage of development before launching a game,” the studio said in its latest financial report. Last month, Remedy said that the title was in the “production readiness” phase.

Condor is described by the Finnish developer as the studio's “first step towards service-based games” and has an initial development budget of €25 million. The game is being created using Remedy's in-house Northlight engine and is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Condor as a “service-based fixed price game”

“Based on extensive internal play testing, we find that the core of the game is addictive and the game brings a unique Remedy perspective to the genre,” the studio continued. According to Remedy, “Condor” will not be a free-to-play title, but rather a “service-based fixed-price game”. “These are premium games that have a lower starting price but a long tail of revenue through updates, game expansions and potentially microtransactions.”

“After the Hiss invasion, the Oldest House is under lock and key: a seething pot of volatile and dangerous supernatural powers. Trapped inside is the last remnant of the Federal Bureau of Control, which must fight back to regain control,” Remedy said of the multiplayer game’s plot. “The Control franchise is bigger than one story or one character. With Codename Condor we invite players on a journey together into the depths of the Oldest House.”
