Fans claim to have recognized a Fallout 4 NPC in the series, but we provide evidence to the contrary

The Fallout series does not adapt any games in the series, but stands on its own two feet. Of course, countless Easter eggs and references can be discovered everywhere. Fans even think they recognized an old friend from Fallout 4.

Wait, isn't that a merchant from Fallout 4?

Small spoiler warning for episode 5: When Lucy (Ella Purnell) and Maximus (Aaron Clifton Moten) try to cross a bridge on foot, they encounter two dubious characters. When the diplomatic route fails, a firefight ensues in which the two strangers are killed – and one of them looks suspiciously like an NPC from Fallout 4.

This means that the dealer and institute spy (but shh!) Cricket meant, who moves through the Commonwealth in Fallout 4 and from whom we can buy weapons and sell our junk. Cricket doesn't exactly make the healthiest impression and it's easy to assume that the trader has a certain weakness for chems.

Back to the Fallout series: Cricket looks an outrageous resemblance to one of the two cannibals that Lucy and Maximus encounter. The jacket, the hat, the scarf, the bloodshot eyes and even the hole in the hat fit like a glove.

That's why some fans suspect that it could actually be Cricket from Fallout 4.

The Fallout series takes place just nine years after the events of the role-playing game (by the way, you can find the complete timeline here), so by 2296, cricket could actually have moved from the Commonwealth to Los Angeles, almost 4,800 kilometers away. (According to Google Maps, it takes around 45 days to walk.)

But no more cricket?

However, there is one important point that speaks against it, despite the striking similarity between the two characters: Bei IMDb Actress Mitzi Akaha's character in the Fallout series is identified as Rink, who even has a own entry in the Fallout Wiki with very sparse information.

And of course, it probably doesn't make too much sense that cricket would wear the exact same clothes nine years later and 4,800 years on. Even if she decided on a different career path after her job as a trader.

Of course, the obvious parallels between cricket and rink cannot be denied. Maybe it's an Easter egg for fans of Fallout 4. Maybe a costume designer knowingly or unknowingly took a cue from cricket. Maybe it's actually Cricket, who was in LA under a new name.
