F1 24: Enhanced Circuits and Iconic Drivers Offer a More Realistic Experience, Leading to Player Frustration

As expected, Electronic Arts And Codemasters reveal today the third video Deep Dive of F1 24, the racing game that will arrive at the end of the month. After the Dynamic Driving SystemThe mode Career and gameplay on some routes, the developers are now focusing on improvements to drivers and circuits.

F1 24 will obviously include the 24 circuits on this season's calendar, but the developers have notably improved Silverstone so that the virtual drivers feel all the bumps on the track and Spa-Francorchamps will now be closer to realitywhile Losail and Jeddah are allowed some corrections, again to coincide with the actual changes.

Concerning single-seaters, the developers recreated the cars of the 10 teams with data CAD and improved lighting, shadows and reflections with technology Ray-Traced Dynamic Diffuse Global Illumination. The faces of the drivers on the grid are also entitled to improvements in terms of hair, eyes and skin and fans will even be able to hear their voices during certain moments of the racelike after a victory or a crash, recordings coming from F1 TV. Hopefully Lando Norris' victory reaction this weekend ends up in the final version of the game.

Finally, many iconic drivers will be present in F1 24including Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Jacques Villeneuve, Pastor Maldonado, Jamie Chadwick, Mika Hakkinen and Nigel Mansell, legendary drivers who will be playable in mode Grand Prix single or mode Careerwhether as the main character played by the player or a teammate in mode My stable. Jarno Opmeer and Lucas Blakeley, champions of sim racingwill be there thanks to their faces for the game avatar, but to come back to the Icons, James Hunt and Juan Pablo Montoya will be exclusive to the Champions Edition Game. A little frustrating for all fans of the English driver, World champion in 1976 and rival of Niki Lauda.

The release date of F1 24 is set for May 31 on PC, PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, with three days of early access viaChampions Edition. You can pre-order the racing game from €69.99 at Amazon, Cdiscount And Fnac.
