Songs of Syx is the passionate one-man project of developer Gamatron AB, who is always refining and improving his game while listening to the community.

In the game you start as a tiny colony in a dangerous fantasy world and have to defy all weather, enemies and events to rise to the empire. As Dwarf Fortress and RimWorld have already done, one awaits you in Songs of Styx real variety of AI-controlled fantasy creatures as well as breeds, weather events and animals. The Mechanics behind all of this are complex and is intended to ensure that you are always surprised by events and that even small decisions can lead to the fall or rise of your empire (check out the game on Steam).

In Songs of Syx you can decide whether to be a merciful ruler or keep slaves to power the machinery of your empire. There are Plagues and Environmental disasters, which can haunt you – just as you must beware of other kingdoms. As time passes, the AI ensures that the entire world changes without your intervention: Empires grow larger or collapse completely depending on how all events come together.
