The Nintendo Switch 2 is still being talked about

This information should be taken with a grain of salt, as it has not yet been officially confirmed by Nintendo. Rumors are common in the industry, and only time will tell what innovations really await us. But according to the manufacturer's latest blog Mobapad, the future device would be distinguished mainly by an enlarged screen, supporting a resolution of 1080p, unlike current consoles which are limited to 720p. A notable innovation would be the introduction of new, larger Joy-Cons, incorporating an electromagnetic attachment structure activated by electric current, a change from the current system.

As we could tell you yesterday, in addition to these modifications, new metal buttons ZL and ZR would be added. And a completely new button would appear on the left and right sides of the controllers. An additional function button is also provided below the Home button on the right Joy-Con. Although not many details are available on this.

Backwards compatibility

A feature highly anticipated by the community is full compatibility with current games, both digital and physical. The new model would feature a cartridge slot to use existing Switch games. Additionally, current Joy-Cons and Pro Controllers would also be compatible. Although they only work remotely with the new model due to the magnetic structure.

Regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 dock, it would continue to function similarly to existing models. But would include a metal bracket for improved angle adjustment. This dock would be slightly different in appearance and support up to 4K resolution.
