With the series adaptation of Fallout from Bethesda, Amazon has hit the mark! The first season of the series on Prime Video not only convinced critics and fans of the video game franchise – this is now also clear from the viewership figures confirmed for the first time.

It is precisely those viewership numbers that paint an extremely successful picture of the TV series. This has become the second most streamed new series for Amazon on its in-house streaming service Prime Video behind “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” from 2022.

If you only look at adults between the ages of 18 and 34, Fallout is actually the most frequently viewed series on Amazon. Within the first 16 days, a total of more than 65 million viewers tuned in; 60 percent of those interested come from outside the United States.

Unsurprisingly, Amazon confirmed quite early on that Fallout would be continued with a second season. However, there is currently no release date for Season 2. The popularity of the Fallout series also ensured that virtually all Fallout video games experienced their second spring and had significantly more players again. Only around the long-awaited next-gen update for Fallout 4 were there some annoyances and problems that tarnished the otherwise excellent Fallout picture. Rumor has it that Microsoft wants to take advantage of the current hype and accelerate a possible Fallout 5 if possible, so that a fresh part in the post-apocalypse could now appear earlier than previously planned.

Fallout – New scene from the Amazon Prime series

Before the series starts on April 11th, Amazon Prime released another scene from the Fallout series. In it, Lucy (Ella Purnell) clashes with The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) and is a little overwhelmed when she tries to resolve a conflict in the wasteland using the tactics of the Vault Dweller. When her efforts to de-escalate the situation fail and tensions arise, Lucy receives additional support from a member of the Brotherhood of Steel.
