WoW: The War Within – This is how you register for the beta and play the new expansion before it is released

With The War Within, the 10th add-on for World of Warcraft is now in the starting blocks. The release is planned for 2024, it should be ready in late summer, even if there is no specific date yet.

If you want to test play in advance, you can register for a beta now. We'll tell you what you have to do for it.

This is how the beta registration works

Registering for The War Within beta only takes a few steps:

• Opens the official website for the extension
• Sign in with your Blizzard account
• Click on the “Beta Registration” button
• On the following page click on “Request beta access”

When does the beta start? There is currently no date. According to the official roadmap, the beta is for End of spring or beginning of summer planned.

Is participation guaranteed? No, if you have been selected for beta access, you will be notified by email. Pay attention to the sender of the email and whether you are asked to click a link or provide data. There have been attempts at fraud at this point in the past.

Is there another option? You can go through the Pre-order the Epic Edition of The War Within secure a beta participation. This costs 90 euros and, in addition to the beta guarantee, also offers, among other things, three days of early access and playing time with a duration of 30 days.

How do you start the beta? If you have received beta access, you can use it via the Battlenet app during the test period. First, select World of Warcraft from your game list and then open the “Game version” drop-down menu.

Under “In Development” you will find the beta for The War Within. Select the menu item and then click on “Install”. Once the download is complete, you can get started.

The War Within will just the first expansion of threethe Blizzard as that Worldsoul saga designated. The story continues in the Midnight add-on and concludes in The Last Titan. Blizzard has not yet revealed how long the period of time is between the release of the individual parts.
