Join the Harrows

From the Broken Bridge Camp, head south to find a cave at the end of a path. The quest officially starts when you enter the cave. Keep moving forward, climb the wall, break the rocks and move forward until you find an elevator. Turn the mechanism to lower it, eliminate the specters that appear. Then, move forward and climb to follow the path and reach a camp following two waves of enemies.

This being filled with Ghostbusters, you will have to destroy some of them to progress. Destroy the first one near the campfire, then look near the rocks to the south and destroy a second one allowing Antea to return. Destroy the rocks and get back on the road.

You arrive at the edge of a small cluster of houses. There, enemies await you. Antea cannot help you. If you wish she could, go around the house to the right and destroy the Ghostbuster in the house. Otherwise, to continue your quest, go under the trunks located to the southwest. Continue beyond the paths and valleys towards the Hameau des Herses located to the west, jump over a log and continue until you reach a raised bridge.

Go down the right bank to reach a clip that you can aim with your rifle. Then go to the left edge of the bridge and stick to the wall to reach a second attachment to destroy. With the bridge now accessible, enter the Hameau des portcullis and reach the highest point of the village, the church, to find a certain FaireFax Haskell.

After the cutscene, exit the church and go down the path heading west to encounter Lament “Lammy” Haskell, before entering your shelter next door. There, destroy the Ghostbuster blocking you and light the campfire to rest. To continue your quest, you must question various inhabitants of the village but we advise you to head to the bottom of the village, just west of the central well (house lit by a lantern) to find the shoemaker, a certain Caleb Wattson. This will have the effect of triggering the Haunting Case “A Bruised Heart” required to progress in the main quest.

Haunting Case: A bruised heart

To complete this Obligatory Haunting Case, you will have to start by searching Caleb's house. Start by looking at the shoes placed near the entrance then go to the back room. Collect the key on the right cabinet and look around to find a letter. Then go into the backyard and examine the pile of bones in the open chest just to the right as well as the clothes on the ground further away.

Then return to Caleb to ask him about your discoveries, then leave the Hameau des Herses to head towards the Field of rest, a cemetery located west of your position. Go through the rift and climb the wall to the northeast. Follow the only path available then climb the wall to reach the cemetery.

While there, search the cemetery to find the graves of Ruth and Alexander Wattson. To do this, first head west to find Ruth's grave and go down below to find a decoy on the north side before finding an open coffin to the south, which happens to be Alexander's. Then, go back up and continue the road heading towards the northwest side. In this area, avoid the lit torches so as not to trigger the arrival of new specters and go up the hill towards the east to come across a ritual site below.

Go down to the right and approach the body to trigger a fight against a Desperate Harvester. To fight him, nothing much different from usual, but be patient and avoid his attacks coming from the ground, the fight could be quite long. Then, once the fight is over, examine the skeleton near the ritual location and remove the spectral webs from the parchment behind you near the crates.

You now have everything you need to perform the ritual of Listening Song allowing you to reveal an echo. Following this and thanks to your revelations, go and confront Caleb or at least his twin brother, Alexander who haunts his body, at the Hameau des Herses via the southwest and the bridge which has been lowered until now. Finally, leave the house and head south/southeast to find the Wattson couple's burned down house.

You cannot enter directly, to do so you will have to go through the building located below the house (south side). Once in it, advance through the gap on the right then move forward to destroy a Ghostbuster hidden in the corner of the hut. Retrace your steps and go through the opening to destroy a fence using Antea's powers.

Continue and climb the wall to reach the back of the burned house. Once there, push the cart to reach the upper floor of the house. Go down the stairs then go through the beams located in front of you. Inspect the pile of ashes on the ground and find the Ruth's charred heart.

Exit the house to the left to come across Alexander. Even if the man wants to prevent you from speaking to Ruth, perform the Forced Manifestation ritual to speak directly with his ghost. Following this, you are ready to make the final choice of this Haunting Case, which will be either Raising Alexander (participating in the ascension of Antea), or Banish Alexander (participating in the ascension of Antea), or Blame Caleb (participant in the ascension of Antea). Regardless of your choice, the Haunting Case ends, allowing you to return to your main quest, searching for Governor Haskell.

To find it, go to the large building to the east. Once the conversation is over and the gate key is in your pocket, you know your objective: an abandoned house where his son, Lammy, often hung out.

Find Lammy

Head west and open the portal using the key given by Haskell. Move towards the unused house and eliminate the specter. Locate the small awning on the left then enter the house through the wall gap. Once inside, find the safe key placed on the crates then look at the different items available to you on the desks. Finally open Lammy's chest at the back of the room to update the quest and collect Lammy's Note.

Leave the house through the gate and take the road heading west towards the cemetery and continue west until you see signs for 'Old Mill' on the left, this is indeed the Old Mill here. Follow the coast, eliminate the specters while keeping a westward heading and climb a wall to finally reach close to the mill. Here you will face a slightly more difficult fight until you reach a camp game very close to the mill.

Before entering the mill, go around it to the left and shoot the Ghostbuster to destroy it. Then destroy the barricade with Antea's powers and enter the building. Once inside, look up to find a tether to destroy high up. Go up the stairs and climb to the second floor. Go through the door leading outside and look at all the documents you find on the upper floor. Then, push the dresser under the wall opening to climb up and out.

At the very top, collect the Akelarre amulet in the chest located at the very top then look at the different items at your disposal. Collect the crank for the mill elevator and destroy the insidious ivy and its two wisps to be able to use it and raise the elevator to your level before taking it.

Once in the depths of the mill, move forward to come across an affliction. Go down using the elevators then fight the specters of affliction. Remember that to get there you must first destroy all the pillars that provide its power. After the fight, interact with the animal corpses that litter the area then perform a ritual of Journey into the Void to cross the Breach and complete the quest which automatically continues with the next one, Black ink.
