A successful series

As The Last of Us, the Fallout series is a hit on Amazon Prime Video. Directly taken from Bethesda's games, this show nevertheless makes the bold bet of presenting us with an original scenario. We therefore follow Lucy (Ella Purnell), inhabitant of Vault 33, who is forced to leave her lair to search for her father. The latter will discover a world completely destroyed by atomic and cultural bombs, stuck in the 1950s. Except that if this country is wild, and the law is dictated by that of the strongest, she discovers that its history is far from to be the one he was told about since his earliest childhood.

As we told you, this show broke all records and even became the second best start of the SVOD service. At the same time, given the quality of this production and its attention to detail, this audience is deserved. You may have noticed it with the treatment of the Brotherhood of Steel.

Fallout Alien version

During her adventure, Lucy meets Maximus, a member of the Brotherhood of Steel; he will become a faithful ally. Fallout players know this group of resistance fighters well, and its treatment in the series is rather successful since it is directly inspired by that of the Alien franchise. In addition to its importance in horror cinema, the first films are also known for their respect for realism, which involves the creation of many original props. Thus, for Alien and Fallout, CGI should be avoided, to convey the intentions of the directors. “Ridley Scott builds the Xenomorph around the idea of a terribly talented motion actor and stuntman. And so we did the same thing“, explains executive producer Jonathan Nolan.

Thus, the Brotherhood's armor was tailor-made for its actors. It wasn't always easy: “I had never made armor like this, but I knew it took a lot of time. So I called a group of people who were working on things like Iron Man“, explained the production designer, Howard Cummings. However, the producers not only wanted to make an aesthetic suit, it also had to be completely functional (except for the weapons obviously). “We started thinking about how to make it move and we also wanted the flap where it opens. Almost every mechanism had to be individually designed whether it was to walk or to open the visor,” Cummings continued. In the Fallout series, we see very clearly the work done by Nolan's teams to reproduce the T-60. Tell yourself that it is thanks to this attention to detail that the stunts are also successful.
