A legend… forgotten?

“I Am Legend” is a post-apocalyptic science fiction film released in 2007. It was directed by Francis Lawrence who is known for having taken care of Constantine in 2005, but also the last four Hunger Games. Starring Will Smith in the lead role, the thriller is based on the novel of the same name by Richard Matheson, published in 1954. The story takes place in a world in which a pandemic has transformed most of the population into zombie-like creatures. We will follow a lone survivor, played by Will Smith, who tries to find a cure. The former military scientist will have to find a way to counter the disease, while fighting for his own survival. It is a film that mixes elements of suspense, action and drama.

A legend reborn

We've known for a while now, “I am a legend”, its original name, will have a sequel. Since 2022, screenwriter and producer Akiva Goldsman revealed the news. We don't have a release date yet, but we do know that the film is in production.
