Uncovering the Most Frustrating Quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 – What Players Are Saying

Since its launch almost a week ago, Dragon's Dogma 2 has fallen far short of satisfying fans in every aspect. This game, available on PS5, Xbox and PC, was to offer a new way of conceiving the Action RPG genre. Despite the positive reviews, some parts of the game have been subject to criticism: performance below what was expected by players, the obligation to eliminate NPCs in order to gain FPS and now, stealth missions that do not respect their category. Indeed, these missions displease players who claim that they do not require as much stealth as expected.

Not so stealthy missions…

Players have expressed their dissatisfaction with the stealth quests in Dragon's Dogma 2 for one simple reason: they don't seem to require much stealth at all. This criticism is not isolated, on the Reddit platform, it is an avalanche of complaints which falls on this part of the game.

I walked through a castle without a problem, then while randomly opening a door, I came across a guard who stopped me. That does not make sense ! I really feel like I'm playing an indie game.

Indeed, he speaks about the nonsense of being able to wander freely in areas requiring stealth, without being so. Plus, the game doesn't seem to punish players for it at all.. Some even admitted to not having realized that they had to disguise themselves to accomplish these missions: “Why bother to camouflage yourself when the enemies don't even notice you…”

Despite the negative reviews and exposed flaws, it is important to note that Dragon's Dogma 2 still received a rating of 87 out of 100 on Metacritic. This rating suggests that the game remains a very good game and that it is possible to enjoy the experience regardless of these problems. Some players can still find pleasure in its universe and enjoy its positive aspects despite the criticism. However, impatience is starting to be heard, because the community seems to see in this new opus the possibility of having one of the most striking Action-RPGs of its generation. Additionally, Capcom has already confirmed that bug fixes are in progress. However, it is unclear whether stealth-related issues will be addressed in these updates. In addition, their exact deployment date remains unknown. For now, players can only hope that Dragon's Dogma 2 will eventually address their concerns and provide a more satisfying gaming experience in the future.
