After Persona 3 Reload, Atlus is embarking on a new challenge with the studio's first RPG. Expected since 2017, it finally shows up
ATLUS has decided to make 2024 its year. The release of Persona 3 Reload, and rumors about possible remakes or remasters, prove that the publisher still has something under his belt. However, there is more to it than Persona. ATLUS is also known for titles like Shin Megami Tensei or Catherine. In 2024, he will return with a new game. Finally, ” new “ isn't really the right term. The studio has in fact revived a project that we thought was forgotten for a long time: Project Re Fantasy.

No Persona 6, but a nice surprise!
Remember: it was in 2017 that the studio began teasing Project Re Fantasy. However, he only reappeared last year, at the Summer Games to be reborn under the name Metaphor ReFantazio. Accompanied by a trailer, it presented itself as the first RPG from studio Zero (an Atlus structure) developed by a stellar trio: director Katsura Hashino (Persona 5, 3, 4), the chara- designer Shigenori Soejima and composer Shoji Meguro. At that time, however, we did not have a specific release date. However, Atlus recently changed the game.
During a livestream dedicated to Metaphor: ReFantazio, the director of Studio Zero had the opportunity to reveal thirty minutes of the game and present the different aspects. Suffice to say that we clearly find the touch of these great gentlemen of the Persona license. However, what was more important was the reveal of the release date: October 11, 2024 on Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PS5, PS4 and PC via Steam. That's not all ! Pre-orders for physical editions (standard and collector) are also open. As for digital pre-orders, you will have to wait a little longer before knowing the availability date.
What does the collector's edition contain?
Metaphor ReFantazio does not joke with the physical edition of its collection. Pre-ordering the basic software already offers a lot of in-game advantages (like currency), but its collector's item goes even further. If we rely on the ephemeral offer posted by Amazon Germany, the price should be €149.99. However, we are still waiting for pre-orders to open in France.
