Survival games are currently an integral part of the gaming industry. Published in the first quarter of 2024 alone several titles, which made waves, especially on PC. We are thinking, among other things, of this Palworld hype in February. But also Enshrouded, Nightingale and Bellwright attracted crowds of players.
Wizard with a Gun was released in October 2023 (buy now €34.76 ) The Light of the World. The co-op survival game from Galvanic Games and Publisher Devolver Digital Didn't get off to the best start due to some balancing issues and bugs. It seemed like the release came a little too early.

But after the first patches, tempers calmed down and player ratings on Steam also skyrocketed. The game is now doing very well on the download platform with 80 percent positive reviews. The developers will soon be bringing more content into the game and fans have been waiting for it since it was released.
What changes does the update for Wizard with a Gun?
Wizard with a Gun already has a co-op mode, but so far we've only been able to tackle the magic adventure with two people. With the Better Together update, up to four players will soon travel through worlds and times. In order not to completely destroy the balancing, the patch includes another important innovation.
Four levels of difficulty make it possible to tailor the gaming experience perfectly to the team. Ranger, Gunslinger, Sheriff and Outlaw are called the levels from easy to very difficult. We can even tailor certain variables.

Enemies can be individually improved, weakened or even slowed down using controls. The unbalanced level of difficulty was a thorn in the side of many players right from the start, but the update provides a remedy.

What is Wizard with a Gun about?
In a world full of magic, creatures and secrets, we as magicians move through the worlds from an isometric perspective. The game is visually reminiscent of Don't Starve, but relies more on roguelike mechanics. With many trips into the randomly generated biomes, we only have a certain amount of time to prevent a catastrophe.
Our starting point in the so-called tower, however, always remains the same. There we build our camp to improve our forces and weapons before we start a new attempt to save the world from destruction.

When will the new update for Wizard with a Gun be available?
We don't have to wait much longer for the 4-player co-op mode, as the Better Together update for Wizard with a Gun will be released on May 13th. And the best thing about it: The patch is free for both PC and PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series. If you already own the game, you can download the update for free.

For everyone else, the survival title is currently available on Steam for 24.50 euros. The console versions are slightly more expensive at 24.99 euros.
