The Steam bestsellers prove that the Fallout series works

Fallout is on everyone's lips again since the series on Amazon Prime has generated a positive response across the board. So it's no wonder that the success is also transferred to the games. The all-time favorite Rimworld is also causing a stir on Steam thanks to the new expansion Anomaly.

Disclaimer: We list the following below ten top-grossing games on Steam last week and address relevant developments. The basic information is based on data from SteamDB and are read directly from Steam.

The Fallout series is much more important to the games than I thought! (Without spoilers)

Only 9th place for Fallout 4 and 12th place for Fallout 76: We still dare to predict that the two games can still improve in the current week in terms of placement in the highest-grossing Steam games. Reminder: This article only applies to sales achieved in the previous week.

At least they're going active player numbers currently completely through the roof. The MMO-like Fallout 76 broke its all-time record on Steam over the weekend, which is now just under 40,000. Fallout 4 even reached almost 84,000 active players at the same time.

Another reason for strong sales figures: Both games are currently heavily discounted on Steam. Fallout 4 currently costs five euros on Steam, Fallout 76 costs 8 euros.

Rimworld retest – The strategy game gets better with every year!

Rimworld returns, and returns for real: Thanks to the new horror expansion Anomaly and a slight discount for the main game, the colony-building survival simulation reaches places 5 and 6.

In addition, developer Ludeon Studios broke its own player record: at the weekend there were 62,000 active players at the same time. Indie game with minimalist graphics or not, these are serious numbers.
