Most recently, the well-known leaker “Dusk Golem” provided new topics of conversation and reported, among other things, that the release of “Resident Evil 9” could take place in early 2025. When asked by a user, “Dusk Golem” followed up on X (formerly Twitter) and said a few words about the setting of the next “Resident Evil” adventure.
According to “Dusk Golem,” we can look forward to a setting in which Capcom’s developers were inspired by the Southeast Asian region. More specifically from Singapore.
A rural island in the Sea of Southeast Asia?
“A fictional rural town on an island in the Southeast Asian Sea that is specifically inspired by Singapore,” said the leaker about the supposed setting of “Resident Evil 9”. Whether “Dusk Golem’s” statements are accurate remains to be seen. Recently, he wasn't always right with his predictions and “revelations”.
Among other things, “Dusk Golem” was wrong with its information about the plot of “Resident Evil 8” and its scattered information about a possible “Resident Evil Revelations 3” with Rebecca Chambers in the lead role has not been proven true to this day. As early as fall 2023, “Dusk Golem” wanted to find out more details about “Resident Evil 9” and pointed out that Capcom was in the title a conclusion and a new beginning at the same time sees.
