The Game-Changing Arrival of a Huge Patch

The war for democracy never dies, and apparently neither does the arrival of updates on Helldivers 2. Arrowhead Games has just deployed an absolutely massive patch.

With this new patch almost as huge as Super Earth itself for Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Games will greatly shake up the habits of democracy fighters. This update 01.000.300 radically rebalances weapons, strategies and enemies, in addition to bringing numerous fixes. Here are the key points to remember from this latest patch, freshly deployed.

A massive new patch for Helldivers 2

Arrowhead Games has not finished spoiling Helldivers 2 players eager for free tea. Between the addition of new content, exciting leaks and patches deployed very regularly, the fight for Super-Earth never rests. It is precisely a new patch that interests us here, code name 01.000.300. This intends to bring a massive rebalancing of the game. It targets not only weapons and strategies, but also enemies and general gameplay. Balancing

General

  • Armor with an armor rating above 100 now also reduces damage from headshots.
  • Victory poses will now only play for previews. (No valuables stolen from my ship)
  • Burn damage reduced by 15%

Primary, secondary and support weapons

CB-9 explosive crossbow:

  • Slightly smaller explosion
  • Increased dispersion
  • Decreased the number of maximum magazines from 12 to 8
  • Increased the number of magazines received from restock from 6 to 8
  • Slight reduction in ergonomics
  • Cannon velocity increased

LAS-99 quasar cannon

  • Cooldown increased by 5 seconds

Referee BR-14

  • Reduced recoil
  • Increased maximum number of magazines from 6 to 8

  • Decreased the number of maximum magazines from 12 to 6
  • Explosion damage decreases slightly faster

  • Reduced the number of magazines from 6 to 3

  • Increased damage from 300 to 350

RS-422 electromagnetic cannon

  • Increased armor penetration in Safe Mode and Hazardous Mode

Enemies

  • Spitter movement speed slightly reduced
  • Hulks: strength required for them to stagger slightly increased
  • Direct damage from equipped Hulk Flamethrower reduced by 20%
  • Devastator fire rate increased slightly (standard model only)
  • Lateral movement of combat helicopters increased slightly
  • Walker pilots are now less vulnerable to explosions
  • The health and armor of fog generators has been increased.
  • Ship generators now have a much lower cap on the number of ships they can have active at one time.

Enemy patrols

  • The appearance of patrols has been increased when there are less than 4 players. The fewer players there are, the greater the change. For 4 player missions, there will be no change from before. The most notable change will be for solo players on higher difficulty.

Helldivers 2 Gameplay

  • Minor level generation improvements to how we distribute locations on the mission map. This should improve the variation in distance between objectives, and objectives probably won't appear as far away from each other as often as before.
  • Added a setting to the options section of the game menus to disable automatic climbing and jumping while sprinting.
  • The Spread Democracy mission, also known as “Raise the Flag,” can now be played on higher difficulties for maximum spread of freedom.
  • When preparing, Helldivers now salute to ensure maximum democratic preparation.
  • Added ambience to the planetary quake risk to emphasize its severity so Helldivers can react accordingly.
  • Shots that ricochet off heavily armored enemies will now correctly hit the Helldiver that fired them. Discipline when shooting is strongly recommended.
