The Return of Obi Wan Kenobi

Ewan McGregor has always had a very complicated relationship with the Star Wars franchise. If today he is Obi-Wan Kenobi, thanks to postlogy, he has often had a little difficulty embracing this character. Additionally, these films have frequently been heavily criticized by fans. Since then, it is both the fans and the actor himself who have been waiting for the officialization of part 2, which remains very discreet. “I would love to do the second season, but we’re not talking about it yet. There’s a lot going on at Disney,” McGregor commented during the Gothenburg festival. The actor immediately explained that he could be patient, “I still have time“, did he declare. He recalls that the first interpreter of Kenobi, Alec Guinness, was 63 when he appeared in the first Star Wars film: ten years older than McGregor. Given his enthusiasm, it is also possible that the actor will play the Jedi for as long as he can. For the moment, we do not yet know what form this return could take, apart from this possible season 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Among the 12 projects cited by Disney, we could imagine the actor doing a crossover with another series or reappearing as a guide in the new trilogy.
