Shortly before the release of “Stellar Blade”, the PR machine for the promising action title is also starting up in Japan. A newly released trailer gives us an impression of what protagonist Eve's adventure sounds like in the Japanese version.
At the end of the month, the action title “Stellar Blade” developed by the South Korean studio Shift Up will be released for the PS5. In line with the approaching release, PR measures are also picking up speed in Japan.

Anyone who has ever asked themselves what “Stellar Blade” sounds like in the Japanese version will get their money’s worth in the latest trailer. On the one hand, the video in question gives us impressions of the game. We can also listen to the voices of the Japanese dubbing actors.
Unfortunately, fans of Japanese dubbing will come away empty-handed in the local version. This will only be available in the Japanese version with optional English subtitles.
NieR Automata director is thrilled
The fact that “Stellar Blade” could also make waves in Japan was recently made clear by statements from Yoko Taro, the director behind the popular action role-playing game “NieR: Automata”. In an interview with IGN Japan, Taro admitted that “Stellar Blade” was a significantly better game compared to “NieR: Automata”.

On the one hand, the game director's statement referred to the graphical quality of “Stellar Blade”, which he described as “absolutely next-gen worthy”. But according to Taro, he also liked the combat system of the action title.
According to the director of “NieR: Automata”, the fights are very deep and require some training time. This in turn meant that Taro had a lot of trouble with the first boss of the demo.
The fight for the future of humanity
In “Stellar Blade” our path leads to a fictional future in which the Earth has been devastated by an alien force. As a result of these events, the remnants of humanity retreated to a colony in space.
From there, people form their resistance and take up the fight for the future of their species.
“But as Eve takes on one Naytiba after another and uncovers the secrets of the past in the ruins of human civilization, she realizes that her mission will not be as easy as she thought…” the developers lead the story of the action title.
“Stellar Blade” will be released on April 26, 2024 for the PS5.
