State Start-Ups to be supported by the administration for six months revealed


“Simplifying the daily lives of all French people by relying on the power of digital technology” : this is the credo of the Interministerial Digital Directorate (Dinum). Through its digital services incubator beta.gouv.frit develops digital services in line with the State's digital strategy.

Six months after announcing the ten winners of the 13e edition of its state start-up acceleration fund, Dinum revealed, Monday February 26, the names of eight other “state start-ups”, which will receive financial support, up to 50% of the project budget over the year, without going beyond 300,000 euros. They will also benefit from a “operational and strategic support”. The people involved in these “state start-ups” are not entrepreneurs, but defined here as “intrapreneurs”, i.e. public agents who carry out missions falling between the professions of product manager and IS project director. .

“We are in a State-platform approach, which will be accompanied by a reinternalization of skills, within services, and long-term financing of products which have demonstrated their impact”explains Samuel Goldszmidt, head of the Digital Factory at the Ministry of Ecological transition. In total, 1.53 million euros will be allocated to the eight digital services.

Ecological transition, addiction, safety, employment…

In the field of ecological transition, “Territories in transition” will be supported to the tune of 300,000 euros. A platform allowing communities to define their next measures according to their means. “My employment events”aimed at highlighting job dating events or employment conferences, and “Easy immersion”allowing better contact between candidates and companies for a company immersion, are also supported to the tune of 300,000 euros each.

“Oz together”, mobile application open to all to control their alcohol consumption, is also one of the winners (220,000 euros), as is “My secure servicemanaged by the National Information Systems Security Agency (Anssi), which intends to manage the security and approval of digital services (141,000 euros).

Finally among the winners “The inclusion marketsourcing tool for inclusive purchases by public and private companies (125,000 euros), “France urban heatto facilitate connection to heat networks (121,000 euros) and “Learning Dashboard” (30,000 euros).

More than 10 million euros invested in five years

This announcement of the winners also made it possible to take stock of the incubator beta.gouv.fr. “In 2023, we had 213 services which are being supported and sustained, notes Stéphanie Schaer, interministerial director of digital. We have 24 digital services with national impact.”

The ten “state start-ups” from the previous class also learned lessons from their support from Fast. In five years, the latter has supported nearly 80 start-ups and invested more than 10 million euros. Applications for the 15th edition of Fast are open until May 29, 2024.
