What is this soundbar?
The Yamaha YAS-109 is a soundbar with a very refined and minimalist design, with a simple straight line that is sober. With dimensions of 89 × 13.1 × 5.3 cm, and a weight of 3.4 k, it fits easily in front of most televisions. Its rigid design with a black fabric covering makes it as solid as it is elegant.
On the back of the bar, you will find an ARC-compatible HDMI input and output, and an optical input. The YAS-109 can decode Dolby Digital and DTS audio streams up to 5.1, and comes with DTS Virtual:X virtual surround. The latter is unfortunately not particularly convincing and is diminished by the lack of verticality of the audio. However, the immersion is excellent with two subwoofers integrated into the bar on each side. The sound is powerful and full thanks to bass extension, and preset modes allow you to fine-tune the audio to your liking. The Clear Voice function is responsible for making dialogues clearer.
Is this Yamaha soundbar worth it for the sales?
Amazon's Alexa voice assistant is integrated into the YAS-109, allowing you to control your soundbar, connected devices or music with the sound of your voice. Finally, note that the connection to the network can be done by Wi-Fi, but also with an RJ45 connector.
