Sony Pictures is currently working on a live-action film for “One Punch Man”. The script is currently being reworked by Dan Harmon (“Rick and Morty,” “Community”) and Heather Anne Campbell (“The Twilight Zone”).

After “One Piece” became a huge hit with its live-action adaptation on Netflix, other anime formats are currently following suit. After “Yu Yu Hakusho” and “Parasyte,” there will also be a live-action adaptation of the anime and manga hit “One Punch Man.”

The two screenwriters, Rosenberg and Pinker, were replaced by Dan Harmon (“Rick and Morty,” “Community”) and Heather Anne Campbell (“The Twilight Zone”). You are now responsible for the script and are currently in the process of completely revising it.

The two screenwriters are ideally suited for a live-action film thanks to their previous series. “One Punch Man” is best known for its crude humor, which also appears in several series that Harmon and Campbell have worked on.

The revision of the script probably means that it could be a while before filming of the live-action film starts. Accordingly, a start date is probably still a long way off.

The director, however, remains. Justin Lin is responsible for the live-action adaptation of “One Punch Man”. He became known, among other things, for his work on the “Fast and the Furious” series.

“One Punch Man” is currently available on Crunchyroll be streamed. All 25 episodes of the two seasons are available on the streaming service, the episodes are available both with German dubbing and in the original Japanese audio with German texts.

The creators of the anime are currently working on a third season. There is no official launch date yet, but there is a first trailer.

Both the webcomic (2009) and the manga (2012) are ongoing. “One Punch Man” does not yet have a completed story. It remains to be seen what further adaptations there will be of the franchise.
