To start the Hotheads exam on Fallout 76, you will have to progress in your main missions until you come across the one called “In the Furnace”. Once you have it, go to the Charleston Barracks.
To help you find it easily, you can find your way using the map below. Once you are there, simply interact with the Têtes Brûlées terminal. There, you will be able to launch the recruitment process with the famous questionnaire.
Answers to the Têtes Brûlées exam questions
Now that you have arrived at the exam location, there are several solutions to pass it. The first is to search and read the different resources on site to find the right answers. The second, is to find the cheat sheet that is hidden on site.
Except that all this can be long and also a bit tedious. So, if you don't want to worry about all this, we have the solution. Just choose the options we put for you below for each of the test questions.
- Question 1: Evacuate the area as quickly as possible.

You have answered the Têtes Brûlées' questions correctly, but that does not mean that your recruitment is complete! You will now have to pass the physical exam and for this, head to Charleston Herald, which is north of the barracks.
Again, we've marked the location in red on the map below to help you out. Once you are there, interact with the terminal which will trigger the quest, secondary this time, “Pic d’Adrenaline”. Return to the barracks and start the final test.
To do this, interact with the terminal again. Then go south to the point indicated in blue on the map above to come across Betty Bouchée-bée. Enter the building and you can talk to Bernieas well as collecting some Têtes Brûlées equipment from the kit dispenser behind him.
Listen to the holotape of the final test in your inventory and head towards the mine as you exit the building. Progress through the latter until you reach the emergency beacon and press the button. All you have to do is go back to Bernie, then go back through the barracks. Use the terminal one last time and you will be registered as a new Hothead.
