The bane of the video game industry
The video game industry has been going through a major crisis since last year as many studios lay off their employees en masse and cancel several of their projects in turn. Among the most important layoffs of this crisis, we necessarily remember those which impacted the various studios belonging to Embracer Group. The European giant has thus laid off more than 1,400 employees, closed seven studios and is said to have canceled nearly 29 projects. A real massacre painfully assumed by CEO Lars Wingefors, which in no way marks the end of Embracer Group's activities. After deciding to create three new entities dedicated to the development and publishing of video gamesthe giant must also return with new games, which it could also present very soon.
THQ Nordic announces its showcase
While the Summer Game Fest should open the ball of the various summer conferences, we learn today that Embracer Group should indeed take part in the party, at least with the publisher THQ Nordic. The THQ Nordic Showcase has therefore just been made official and the date is set for August 2, in less than three months.

During this showcase, players should have news of the remake of Gothic as well as Titan Quest 2, two titles highly anticipated by the community which could thus receive a first release date. The publisher could also share news of Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushedremake of the eponymous game initially released in 2010. Finally, THQ Nordic could also reveal more regarding its previously announced games, but also reveal to us some still unknown projects. Answer on August 2.
