The Munich publisher BBG Entertainment is bringing a computer game onto the market together with TV and radio legend Fritz Egner.

Update from April 17, 2024: BBG Entertainment has details on the music quiz gamel Quiz with Fritz which will be released at the end of June, initially for smartphones, tablets and PCs, and then for consoles in the fall. It contains more than 2,200 questions about titles and artists, flanked by interview excerpts, photos, tickets and autographs from Egner's private archive.

However, the Munich native's career started on the radio: alongside Thomas Gottschalk and Günther Jauch, he was one of the most incisive and popular voices on the public broadcaster Bayern 3, especially through the broadcast Fritz and hits.

A new product is based on this enormous treasure trove of music knowledge, anecdotes and memorabilia BBG Entertainment is being created and is scheduled to appear in the summer. The brands Quiz with Fritz respectively Quiz With Fritz BBG got protection in February. The first details will follow on April 16th.

The Egner cooperation is part of a product offensive that BBG boss Stephan Berendsen is planning for the current season – including one Boulder Dash-Reboot for the 40th birthday as well as PlayStation ports of other video game classics such as Dynablaster, Boulder Dash Deluxe, Sharks! Sharks! and Astrosmash.

Hans Ippisch, who as Executive Director is responsible for the Development and New Business segments, will be supporting the BBG expansion. The long-time publishing manager of Fürth-based Computec Media GmbH (PC Games, N-ZONE) was managing director of Intellivision Entertainment Europe GmbH in Nuremberg from 2019 to 2022 and was therefore responsible, among other things, for setting up sales and marketing for the game console project Intellivision Amico ( Background). The federal government and the Free State subsidized the development of Amico titles at German studios with half a million euros. In 2022, Ippisch switched to the Audi spin-off Holoride, which focuses on in-car entertainment with VR headset technology and its own cryptocurrency.
