The Fallout Series Targeted: Creator Fed Up with Immature Fans

The era of Super Mario Bros. (1994), Double Dragon (1994) or even House of the Dead (2003) is over. For several years now, video game adaptations have been of quality, as evidenced by the series The Last of Us and the animated feature film Super Mario Bros. 2023 was an excellent year and 2024 is off to a strong start with Fallout, a unanimously acclaimed Prime Video production among the press (93% on RottenTomatoes) and the general public (89% on RottenTomatoes. Everyone agrees that this Amazon Original respects the franchise now in the hands of Bethesda Softworks and turns out to be an excellent series post-apocalyptic science fiction.

However, some diehard dissatisfied fans of the first hour of Fallout express (sometimes too strongly) their opinion on the series. Although marginal, there is no shortage of criticism leveled against this adaptation. While some are justified and constructive, others only fuel antagonism and aim to hurt the creative teams. Timothy “Tim” Cain, the creator of the Fallout license, recently spoke on his channel Youtube via a video to express his love for the Amazon series before discussing the case of fans and other toxic spectators quick to attack artists and producers.

Mind you, I never made a personal attack. I never said, “My God, this showrunner, this director are idiots,” no. So when I see people on the Internet doing that, if it's a comment, I stop reading. If it's is a video, I close it because guess what? Once they do it, it's obvious that they are very immature. To me, their arguments no longer mean anything. Cain

Fallout season 2 made official

The announcement is not surprising, but it confirms the critical and audience success of the Fallout series. The Amazon program is renewed for a season 2 just a few days after its release with great fanfare on Prime Video. The end of the first season suggested a sequel, and it is now official. Indeed, Amazon Studios was quick to confirm the production of a new batch of episodes without specifying the future release date or the direction that the series could take in the years to come.
