The sequel will bring back much of the old cast. But director Stephan Elliott will also be back at the start. Just like the actors Terrence Stamp, Guy Pearce and Hugo Weaving should be back. Elliott is currently looking for a producer for the film. All details about the sequel's story are also being kept under wraps. But the script is written:

What is Priscialla – Queen of the Desert about?
In the cult classic they go three drag artists Mitzi, Felicia and Bernadette on the road trip of a lifetime. The trio are working in Sydney when the opportunity to work in Alice Springs arises.
Without hesitation, the group packs their things and sets off in an old, rusty school bus, which they name Priscilla. The director, who was only 30 years old at the time, managed to conjure up something wonderful from a small budget.
A Budget of $2 million Even in the 90s it wasn't much compared to the big cinema blockbusters. Nevertheless, director Stephan Elliott made the most of it and was rewarded with a box office take of $11.2 million. In 1995 Priscilla – Queen of the Desert also won Oscar for Best Costume Design.
