The king of games is back

Of course, we'll start with the new cards based on Yugi's deck from the final arc of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and manga. As is well known, Yugi and Pharaoh Atem have to fight a decisive duel so that the spirit of the Millenium Puzzle can finally find its eternal rest. While the Pharaoh relies on the power of his three Egyptian god cards, little Yugi relies on the “Gold Sarcophagus” spell, among other things.

Following on from this card, which was intended to pave Yugi's path to victory against Atem, Legacy of Destruction includes the permanent spell card “Shining Sarcophagus.” This is the linchpin of a new strategy that allows you to special summon various powerful monsters that mention the spell in their effect test onto the field. This includes, among other things, the cover monster of the set, “Gandora-G the Dragon of Destruction”.

In addition to the completely overhauled Gandora, you can also look forward to the return of the “Apparatus”, “(More)Marshmallon” and Yugi’s “Silent” monsters, more specifically the “Silent Magician” and the “Silent Swordsman”. Both also come with a quick spell card that matches them. So if you want to really get started again with Yugi's deck, the new “Yu-Gi-Oh!” core set is perfect. In addition, long-time fans of the anime series will be warmed by this.

In addition, other anime themes receive fresh support in “Legacy of Destruction”. These include those of Dr. Crowler in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX” played “Ancient Drive” cards, Jaden Yuki’s “Yubel” monster or the one from “Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V” known “Supreme King” set.

Of course, other themes are celebrating their big premiere in the new main set. The “Tenpai” dragons in particular are likely to stand out here and are pretty high on the list for many players. This is a new Fire Dragon theme that revolves around particularly powerful Synchro Monsters. With these you can inflict well over 30,000 damage on your opponent in a Battle Phase!

Furthermore, fans of the relatively new “Illusion” theme can look forward to much sought-after support. The most wanted and most valuable cards in “Legacy of Destruction” include “Diabellze, the Guardian of Original Sin” and “Nightmare Apprentice,” whose effects can give your own strategy a real boost. If you pull one of these “Yu-Gi-Oh!” cards, consider yourself really lucky.

Also featured prominently in the latest “Yu-Gi-Oh!” core set are the new “Ragnaraika” cards. These include insect, plant, and reptile monsters that you can use to summon powerful Link Monsters. The strengths of these monsters are that they can interact with cards that are already in the graveyard or that have been banished from play. Matching trap and spell cards are also included in the set.

Overall, “Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of Destruction” 100 cards with which you can make your own deck even better. The card “Magicians of Promises and Unity”, which is particularly popular with collectors, is also included again as a Quarter Century Secret Rare.

Konami kindly provided us with a “Legacy of Destruction” display just in time for the release. Of course, we don't want to withhold from you what we were able to draw from it. With “Multimarshmallon” and “Silent Swordsman Zero” we were pleased to receive two completely overhauled Yugi Muto cards. Our best pulls are definitely “Snake Eye Diabellstar”, “Ragnaraika Blossom” and “Future Silence”.
