Fallout players no longer hold the controller

The release of the series, the episodes of which were all available simultaneously, combined with a big drop in the price of Fallout games, quickly had an impact on their sales and activity. Yesterday, a new record seems to have been reached with this figure of just under 5 million players present across all the Fallout games available on the market. With a million players connected yesterday, Fallout 76 is one of the biggest winners in history. Much criticized at its launch, the online game was however never abandoned by Bethesda Game Studios and today enjoys record attendance thanks to the enthusiasm generated by the series. On Steam, the game reached a peak of 73,368 players logged in simultaneously two days ago, while its previous record was 32,982 players logged in simultaneously in May 2020.

The other big winner is called Fallout 4. While there is no question here of finding the enormous peak of the 2015 launch (472,962 players connected simultaneously on Steam), the daily peak went back from 25,000 to 165,000 players connected simultaneously when the series launches. These audiences are not only due to a return of old players, the Amazon series has also succeeded in attracting a new audience. So, Fallout 4 And Fallout 76 are respectively ranked 8th and 9th best seller worldwide on Steam for the week of April 16 to 23.

In more modest but notable proportions, we also note the returns of Fallout New Vegas (31st) and Fallout 3 (53rd). Fallout New Vegas achieved in recent days are 2nd largest peak of players connected simultaneously on Steam (43,632) and Fallout 3 its biggest peak altogether (11,471). While waiting for Bethesda to order a Starfield series from Amazon, remember that an adaptation of God of War is in preparation at Prime Video. Season 2 of the Fallout series obviously didn't take long to be confirmed by the platform.
