What happened during the off-season?

We saw the summer hit movie

So, Superman, Harley Quinn, Vera and Sammy went pink! The term “off-season” obviously refers to the closure of the beta servers since June 2023. Nothing has yet been confirmed, but the arrival of Barbie is clearly possible, especially since the recent film was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Regardless, as MultiVersus returns on May 28th, it's clear that Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games will speak in the coming days or weeks.

What's happening in MultiVersus?

When MultiVersus returns, fighters will be able to count on better visuals and character lighting, notably thanks to a move to Unreal Engine 5. In terms of content and gameplay, Player First Games promises new characters and arenas, as well as moves and new gameplay mechanics for each character.

It will also be much more comfortable to try all these new features online, since the studio has rebuilt the game from A to Z to support a new netcode and allow a much more precise experience in multiplayer, whatever the support on which you decide to play.

The big icing on the cake is clearly the arrival of a PvE mode. Tony Hyunh did not want to say too much for the moment, but he did confirm that playing it will allow you to win exclusive rewards and exploit new ways of playing.

These announcements should obviously please early players, as MultiVersus seems to be coming back stronger than ever. All this content will be available for free on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. Also remember that the game will support cross-play and cross-progression.
