Capcom has not yet set a release date for the ambitious Monster Hunter Wilds, but a renowned insider is already very sure about it!

Apparently the leak was faked around the supposed release period of Monster Hunter Wilds. Accordingly, it is a fake, to which Dusk Golem has, to a certain extent, fallen victim.

The relevant information did not come from the reliable Capcom leaker, as Dusk Golem made clear in a statement via social media. The supposed screenshots from his Discord server were faked.

Release period fixed? Insider: Not even GTA 6 causes a postponement! (03/29/24 – 7:21 p.m.)

With Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom is currently working on a successor to Monster Hunter World – and it is, after all, the best-selling game in the company's history. The new part, which was presented at The Game Awards in December, is intended to be even more ambitious.

To date, Capcom has only given a general estimate of 2025 as the target year for release, but has not yet specified anything in more detail. According to the renowned and very reliable Capcom insider Dusk Golem, then the release period has already been largely determined. According to this, Monster Hunter Wilds should cause a sensation in the first quarter of 2025.

The development of the game is progressing well, so that a release in a similar time window to that of Dragon's Dogma 2 this year is conceivable – i.e. in March. The insider is so confident and convinced that he even says: “I don't even think GTA 6 could make them postpone it.”

GTA 6 from Rockstar Games is reportedly scheduled for spring 2025, although not quite in the first quarter. Nevertheless, the action epic could be released in a similar time frame if there is not a postponement, which has recently been the subject of some speculation.

Detached from the release period Dusk Golem some more information about Monster Hunter Wilds from the stack. The game has been in the works since 2019 – and therefore for six years. It should be Capcom's biggest game ever and not just the most extensive Monster Hunter to date. In short: the ambitions are very big! Especially since Monster Hunter Wilds is also supposed to rely on a completely open game world and is overall more experimental than World or Rise. The director of the game should be given all freedom when it comes to wilds, so we can certainly expect some new features and innovations.

Monster Hunter Wilds is in the works for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
