Will Chris Evans return as Captain America?
There are increasing signs that Chris Evans will actually make a comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unlike Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Captain America survived the fight against Thanos and merely retired. A return would therefore be possible without major narrative effort.
According to new rumors, this will also be the case in the sixth Avengers film. Chris Evans apparently already has a corresponding contract with him Marvel and Disney signed. In 2025, the new Captain America will be released in cinemas alongside Star Wars legend Harrison “Red Hulk” Ford. Avengers 5 will follow in 2026.
