One disappointment follows the next

When will Disney finally achieve a new billion-dollar success at the box office? In 2019, immediately before the corona pandemic, there were several. In terms of live-action adaptations of cartoon classics and animated films alone, this has been achieved with Aladdin, The Lion King and Toy Story 4 and Frozen 2 an incredible four times in total. Since then, however, the tide has been ebb.

Disney: Only flops in the cinema?

If you look at the last few years and months, it is certainly an exaggeration to claim that the family division of the Mickey Mouse company only produced flops. However, there hasn't been a real, completely convincing box office hit in the last four and a half years.

However, there were a lot of disappointments. The legendary animation company Pixar (Finding Nemo, Cars, Ratatouille) had one flop after another and was only able to make a small exclamation point again with Elemental. And the Live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaidtook a late turn at the box office, but then convinced sensational on Disney Plus. What's next for Disney?

In order to turn the corner and finally achieve a billion-dollar success again, the entertainment group is currently producing numerous new family films. A very special Disney princess will soon be celebrating her triumphant comeback. And one of the greatest Disney heroes of all time is supposed to save the Christmas business. But further disappointments are on the horizon.

The live-action adaptation of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs could prove to be a million-dollar grab in 2025. And with another reinterpretation of an animated classic disappointments also increase.

Newer Billionaire success or mega-flop? One of greatest Disney films is getting a sequel in cinemas

One of Disney's biggest hopes has already had an official theatrical release and is reaching an important milestone.

Currently makes Disney's Hercules primarily as a musical in Hamburg talk about yourself. But a live-action film is also in production. When asked about Disney's new live-action film, the two made it clear that they were still waiting for a script. So Hercules is far away from it, let alone filmed in the near future to come to the cinema. A huge disappointment, and not just for fans of the musical.
