Logitech collaborates with ChatGPT to bring new AI integration to Windows and macOS

After the Copilot key on Windows keyboards, Logitech invents the “AI Prompt” button. Generative artificial intelligence continues its invasion of connected products.

Available since April 18, version 1.70 of the Logi Options+ software, which adds functions to Logitech peripherals on Windows and macOS, gains an original new feature. “Logi AI Prompt Builder”, as the brand calls it, is a mini-software designed to integrate ChatGPT into users' routines, with an interface similar to that of Microsoft Copilot. It can be configured on any keyboard or mouse and even has a dedicated key on the new M750 mouse launching in the US and UK.

A menu to paraphrase, summarize, respond or generate an image

In Logi Options+, owners of a device from the Swiss brand can connect a key on their keyboard or a button on their mouse to the AI Prompt Builder. The idea behind this software is to select text, press the button and create an action. For example, you can reformulate a text, the summary, generate a response automatically or create an image. Logitech has integrated several thoughtful tools to adapt a prompt, such as settings to change tones or lengths.

Technically speaking, the Logi AI Prompt Builder can also be used without a Logitech keyboard/mouse, by generating a keyboard shortcut that would open the application on macOS or Windows.

This is undoubtedly one of the best integrations of generative AI into an OS, which surely precedes what Apple and Microsoft will do in future major updates of macOS and Windows (Windows is ahead with Copilot , but Microsoft can go even further).
