The French flagship announced a strengthening of its partnership with Google. This is an extension of the partnership because, in reality, Valeo already relies on Google Cloud for its infrastructure, data and collaboration offerings.

At the origin of this strategic merger, the organization in November 2023 of the first hackathon focused on Valeo's generative AI in collaboration with Artefact, a French company specializing in the deployment of AI technologies and data solutions, and Google Cloud . A hackathon which resulted in the identification of use cases providing concrete solutions for Valeo, in engineering, project management, knowledge management, and even industrial maintenance.

AI at every level

In detail, Valeo plans to use Vertex AI and Gemini to “accelerate its internal innovation processes, accelerate the development of new products and gain efficiency”, indicates the company. It also plans to add Google Cloud AI solutions to the toolbox its developers use to create, correct, optimize and test code.

The automotive supplier also relies on these solutions to increase efficiency and visibility across the entire software engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis to architecture design and generation. of test scenarios. Finally, “the collaboration will also enable the deployment of generative AI tools to improve productivity in vehicle design, equipment production and integration, as well as quality assurance and customer service.”
