Efforts are being made to rescue the game by the studio

Payday 3 wants to win back its community, after the failure of the game's launch. To save the furniture, the studio is implementing this long-awaited feature.

How can we forget the fiasco that was the launch of Payday 3? Released last year, it was nevertheless a game particularly anticipated by its community, who were impatient to carry out new heists. At the same time, 10 years have passed since the release of the second part, one would have expected that this wait would be worth it. Unfortunately, between the lack of communication regarding this release and the hundreds of bugs listed, its launch was catastrophic.

To remedy all this, Starbreeze studios had to implement several updates. However, it must be admitted that they solved quite a few problems. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough. Attendance scores on Steamdb for Payday 3 are still very low. It's even dangerously worrying for the studio, since, during these last days, SteamDB has recorded a peak of only 413 peoplecompared to more than 28,000 for Payday 2. The developers are nevertheless working hard, continuing to make improvements, for example thanks to this new major update.

An important new patch for Payday 3

Payday 3 will soon receive a new update to improve the gaming experience and save the title. Among the new features, the studio finally includes Quickplay, which allows you to join a heist already in progress online. Yes, it was about time. You will be able to choose the desired difficulty, then be placed in a current lobby or join one that is already open. However, due to the small number of daily players, you should not be too demanding. For now, this game mode should be tested, since the developers are already planning a version 2.

Currently we are at a crossroads between creating a standalone Quickplay v2 with filters, or its integration in one way or another, on a Crime.Net type server which will be available later in the year”, we can read on the official site. Please note that the studio will be open to any suggestions, so do not hesitate to share your opinions.

The second planned addition is “player merge”, which will be directly linked to Quickplay mode. This feature will create connections between players. “The goal is to help players find like-minded robbers so they can commit even more crimes together.e “. However, it is not yet clear how this system will work. It is obvious that Payday 3 is trying, despite its difficulties, to build a community. We now have to wait for the release date of this update up to date, which is not yet known. Will this be enough to save the deserted game, when these new features were requested at the launch of the game seven months ago now? Nothing is less sure…
