Bandai Namco has now released the appropriate launch trailer for the upcoming release of the action RPG “Sand Land”. Fans can also look forward to a message from Akira Toriyama about the games adaptation of his manga story.

In the game there is not only the world of Sandland, but also a new world called Woodland with new characters that did not appear in the manga. You can enjoy a richer story and a huge map while playing as a Demon Prince.”
Finally, Akira Toriyama said: “I can only play casual games myself, but I look at what games are popular in my family and I think I know a bit, even for an old man. I can really recommend the game Sand Land!”
“Sand Land” is based on a manga short story of the same name that appeared in Shueisha Publishing’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2000 and contains a total of 14 chapters. The focus of the story is Demon Prince Belzebub, who, together with his advisor Sheef and the old Sheriff Rao, goes in search of a legendary spring that is said to be somewhere in the desolate desert of Sandland.
The “Sand Land” video game was created by the development studio ILCA (“One Piece Odyssey”) and expands the well-known story of the manga template with the new one “Angel Hero” arc. This fresh storyline, which Akira Toriyama worked on, takes Belzi & Co. to Woodland, where they become embroiled in a bitter civil war. The anime “Sand Land: The Series” on Disney+ tells an alternative version of this story.
In this country, the “Sand Land” manga first appeared in Carlsen Verlag’s Banzai magazine. He published the series again in August 2017 in the form of an anthology.
“Sand Land” will be released on April 26, 2024 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles and PC (via Steam).
