If you tend to look at some unusual information on Elden Ring, you have surely seen players finishing the game with peripherals, each crazier than the last. Recently, a player managed to complete it thanks to a means of communication from the 19th century.

The most old school controller on the market

The 19th century is certainly one of the most decisive centuries in our recent history in terms of technological discoveries. Indeed, it was particularly at the beginning of this century that the means of communication began to expand, notably thanks to the exploitation of the electrical system. Among the most remarkable inventors of this period, we find of course Samuel Morsewhich gave its name to the famous code still used today by the army or other similar organizations in certain specific situations. Did he suspect that his telegraph would be used as a lever to complete Elden Ring a few hundred years later? Certainly not, and neither do we.

A few days ago, the Spanish streamer Silithur achieved the impossible by defeating the final boss of Elden Ring with the help of a button and a bit of Morse Code. A feat that joins those accomplished by players who finished the game with a dance floor, a harp or even bananas. If you did scouting in your youth and feel that the game is too easy with the dozen or so buttons available on a standard controller, perhaps you should take a leaf from Silithur and try your luck that way. Personally I only know how to say “SOS” in this language, but something tells me that that's all I would need if I attempted this adventure.

Even Elon Musk can't hold a candle to him

Watching Silithur's one-button, Morse code fight against Elden Ring's final boss, the most common reaction would be to bow and applaud. This is precisely what most Internet users did, impressed by this phenomenal feat. But as the video clip began to gain momentum on Twitter, the boss of the platform himself came to add his two cents:

The final battle is beautiful, but easy.
Try this with Malenia.

Unsurprisingly, humility and recognition of the work of others still do not seem to be part of Elon Musk's conceivable reactions. Of course, that was all it took to motivate the Spanish streamer, who was not going to stop there anyway. Just hours after the multi-billionaire's response, Silithur posted another video showing him turning off Malenia using his simple button.

Well…
Easy because I'm too good at this game you mean?

With 58,000 likes on his fight against Malenia compared to only 4,000 for Elon Musk's tweet, Silithur definitely chose his day to humiliate unbearable bosses. We imagine that the Spanish streamer is just waiting for the DLC to arrive Shadow of the Erdtree to let go of his button and find a more conventional controller, even if it would not be very surprising to see him bring out a little Morse code once he is sufficiently familiar with the new features brought by this additional content. As a reminder, Shadow of the Erdtree is still expected for June 21, 2024.
