Superheroes have obviously been in fashion for quite a while and yes, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had a lot to do with it: however, the latter has been going through a somewhat complicated phase for some time and the public seems to be getting tired of it… but not all the time, no. Because on the Amazon Prime Video side, the series The Boys continues to arouse great excitement.

The hype is rising
The Boys ultimately goes a little against the major trends of Marvel and DC Comics: here, no fuss with ultra-explicit violence, shocking scenes and some really pronounced black humor. The result is a truly tasty cocktail, with characters as endearing and sometimes detestable (in the good sense of the word) and with a frenetic pace that keeps you totally spellbound.
After three particularly successful seasons, The Boys will return for a new slew of episodes and we finally have a release date: it will happen on June 13, 2024 exclusively on Prime Video, Amazon's famous VOD platform. In less than three short months, we will therefore be able to discover the new bloody adventures of Butcher, Hughie, Stella and other reckless people facing the formidable Protector and his cronies, all still carried by a more than effective casting. Something new to get your teeth into
Although we still don't know if Little Soldier will make a comeback, it has however been confirmed the arrival of new characters, the first of which is played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The interpreter of the Comedian in the film Watchmen, but also of Negan from The Walking Dead will therefore play an as yet unrevealed role and in fact, we see him very well having his place in The Boys.
There will also be new qualified superheroines “horrifying” by Eric Kripke himself (the screenwriter of the series) played by Valorie Curry (Veronica Mars, Following, Twilight Chapter IV but also Kara in the video game Detroit Become Human) and Susan Heyward (Powers, Vinyl, Orange is the New Black).

Besides, just to be patient, let's remember the existence of the Gen-Z spin-off whose season is already available on Prime Video – if you haven't already devoured it, of course – or even the inclusion of the famous Protector in the brutal Mortal Kombat 1.
