Rockfish Games is building with you Everspace 2 the best game of the year: These are the winners at the German Computer Game Awards 2024.

The German Computer Game Prize 2024 was awarded yesterday Thursday evening in the Eisbach Studios in the east of Munich.

Three of the 15 categories – “Best Debut”, Audio Design and Story – and thus €140,000 in prize money went to the Berlin developer Hekate and publisher Nacon Ad infinitum. The main prize of €100,000 for the 'Best German Game' goes to the Hamburg studio Rockfish Games, which specializes in the space game Everspace 2 against strong competitors like Deck13 Interactive (Atlas traps) and Critical Rabbit (Fall of Porcupine) has enforced.

Katrin Bauerfeind and Uke Bosse once again moderated the two and a half hour show – the laudatory speeches included Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU), music YouTuber Marti Fischer, comedian Maxi Gstettenbauer and the Parliamentary State Secretary for Economic Affairs Michael Kellner (Greens).
