F1 24 presented by EA Sports with big changes promised thanks to Verstappen, the details

A redesigned career mode in F1 24

Not surprisingly, the Formula 1 racing game series returns for its annual iteration. Still developed by Codemasters, F1 24 has just revealed its very first official trailer, which follows the teaser from the end of February. We can thus see the first images taken in-game, interspersed with some real sequences, sprinkled with first clues about this year's new features.

In addition to the traditional commitment to allow us to find the official drivers and circuits of this 2024 season, we are promised a completely redesigned Pilot Career mode. This is the big focus this year since the mode should be entitled to an overhaul, whether aesthetically or in its functionalities. For example, you can embody an existing F1 or F2 driver but also create your own avatar to follow a new driver.

That's not all since the R&D improvement system will be influenced by your reputation: the greater this is, the more motivated the team. Additional objectives will be implemented in the race, allowing you to gain reputation and open up new possibilities. You have understood, a new system of contracts is planned, just like the rivals who will gain in importance. Added to this is a system of long-term objectives based on season expectations, an improved two-player career mode and asynchronous simi-multiplayer. All this mainly concerns pilot career, although MyTeam should benefit from some (probably visual) revisions. We still know that two new icons, only present in the Champions edition, will be included with James Hunt and Juan Pablo Montoya.

Gameplay that revises its handling

On the gameplay side, the British studio seems to completely revise its copy by announcing that it has collaborated with Max Verstappen to introduce a new dynamic driving system. This will result in better driving sensations and increased precision regarding the performance of the cars, particularly in terms of the wheels. We are promised new suspension physics, an improved tire model, advanced aerodynamic simulation and new engine configuration options.

The feeling should therefore be different from last year, while still hoping to keep this good feeling that we appreciated on F1 23. Great promises, as often with the publisher you will tell me, that we will only be able to check once the controller is in your hands. We can also count on adding audio samples with official driver voices who will release a few lines, particularly during racing incidents. Coupled with new commentary and cutscenes, this will add an extra layer of immersion.

Then, alongside these main additions, some details should be noted: for example, the F2 should be integrated directly, undoubtedly for its 2023 season and later for its 2024 season. In the trailer, we can also see an update of certain circuits : the most attentive will no doubt have noticed the Raidillon de l’Eau Rouge in Spa. According to the statement, Jeddah, Lusail and Silverstone have also been updated. Finally, F1 World is well confirmed, with no real novelty mentioned and will still allow multiplayer, time trial and all the modes of this year to be found.

See you on May 31, 2024 to see if all his promises will be kept. let's remember that EA Sports F1 24 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series and that people who pre-order the Champions Edition will be able to play it three days early. Furthermore, you have undoubtedly seen it in this article, it is once again Max Verstappen who will illustrate the Champions edition, while Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will lend their faces to the main visual and the edition standard.
